NOTE: LANCASTER BOULEVARD WILL BE CLOSED ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7. SIERRA HIGHWAY WILL BE CLOSED FROM AVENUE I to MILLING. (Take 14 Freeway north and exit at Avenue I. Go east to Fern then south on Fern to Kettering then east to Cedar to come up on the North side of Cedar. For the South side of Cedar: Take 14 Freeway north and exit at Avenue K. Stay right and go to Avenue J, turn right. Go to Cedar Avenue, turn left.) SPACES ARE ASSIGNED TO TEAMS BASED ON WHETHER SERVING People’s Choice and/or type of space requested.


Friday, October 8:

ALL DAY RACING ON LANCASTER BLVD., BEGINNING with MEDIA RACE 7:00a.m. (Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix)

11:00 am to 6:00 pm Teams Check-in at Chamber Office 554 West Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, CA 93534

12 noon to 8:00p.m. Meat Inspection

6:00 pm to 6:30 pm Mandatory Team Meeting with KCBS Representative, Kelly MacIntosh

BBQ Championship Begins! Competitors will be cooking all morning

Turn-In Times Meat Categories

( Judging will take place in the Lancaster Library's All Purpose Room, 601 West Lancaster Blvd. There is a private entrance in the rear of the building, on Cedar – follow the signs>>>>>>> )

People’s Choice Competition

12:00p.m.Ticket Sales for People’s Choice begins.

12:40p.m. People’s Choice Teams begin serving to the public

Host will provide People’s Choice Teams with “hot dog” boats to serve the 2 oz PC sample. Tasting Tickets are $2.00 each with $1.00 going back to the teams that serve PC. Host will collect the tickets from each team in a manila envelope. The Host bankers will count the tickets in the presence of Ann Hill, who will present each team an envelope during the Awards ceremony.

PAYMENT OF AWARDS: Check or cash for the champion and Reserve champion. Cash for all others awarded 1st through 10th place in each category of meat + trophy or medallion.

  • This is an approximate time. The presentation will begin as soon as all results have been tabulated.
