Thanks to everyone who chipped in; Mark, Tracy, Pam & Scott for cooking PC, Ben, Ric, the Browns; all the judges who came from far & near and others who did stuff that I'm not aware of. Great job on a smoothly run event.

Great event and we're so happy to help out by cooking for the public sampling, and mentor some first time teams. Congrats Kevin and Chuck.

Hi Carlos,

I am glad you came out. I know this was a little different than what you did last time, but I hope the open judging helped out.

Just a side note, the team that wins any contest, is the only team that did as well as they wanted to. trust me i have yet to do as well as I have wanted to.

Hopefully I will see you out at the Santa Clara event.

Regards,

Mark

The open judging was definitely something different but I appreciated all the comments/constructive criticism from the judges. I will be at Santa Clara just not sure if we will be competing or not. Either way I will be out there. Thanks again Mark.

Just remember if you were not at this event and you still want to be part of it just go to masons4mitt.org and make your donation. Every $20.00 get a Mitt for some lucky child. Just pick the county you like but remember East County or South Bay when you make your Donation. We as Masons Just want to thank all of you that Donate. We earn over $70,000.00 last year our goal this year is $85,000.00

Will this event be KCBS next year? I've heard rumors.

I think Mark is going to crunch some numbers and is looking for team feedback as the entry fee would have to jump significantly.

One Man Team Feedback: Keep it simple, keep it small, keep it cheap, and keep the live judging (thats worth it's weight in gold).

Thanks for another great event Mark. And thanks to Tracy for running a tight ship in the judges chambers like she always does.

Till next time folks!

Thanks for the feedback.

I would like as much feedback as possible. I want this to be a great event, and that only happens with the input from those who where there.

I've sent the scores to all the team email addresses I was provided. If you didn't receive one please check your spam folder or email me (ladyskir@aol.com) with your team name and contact information. Also, all the award pictures have been posted on my FB page...

Hope to see y'all at another BBQ event soon.
