Good job guys!

I took a look at the score and saw that The Smoking Hills got a perfect 180 in pork. Pretty rare these days.

Which contests are you talking about? I seriously can't remember a 180 in California since we started back in 2005. Could easily be wrong. Anyone remember different?

Anyway, that's why I was geeked about seeing one in a border state contest.

Matt here in your original post you simply stated 180's are rare you didn't mention here in California..they don't happen here..but they do happen more often than you implied

Here is the contest I'm talking about

http://www.kcbs.us/e...month=3&id=3148

It also happened not only in Arizona this weekend it also happened in Hammond,La too..the only reason I followed those contests is we had friends competing at both of those comps.

That was the first 180 ever in Arizona last weekend. The Smokin Hills can cook some great BBQ.

Thanks everyone! We had a blast meeting new teams from AZ and always great to be with RNQ!

John's been wanting a 1st place brisket for a while now and it was great to get that one in our first contest of the year.

Looking forward to seeing our CA buddies at our next adventure.
