Having choices for teams is a good thing. Obviously, a 30 minute drive to a contest that will likely pay more will be hard to pass up.

Well the 300 mile rule passed..just wondering what is the hold up on the TOY on this..I see it's the only comp listed thats applied for and it's already on the KCBS site?
Ultimate, Pechanga, Phoenix Club I & II -- all listed in KCBS all paid TOY fees for CBBQA almost a month ago.. Just not updated on website, would be my guess...

All pending TOY requests will be addressed in the Jan BOD meeting.
Rick and the rest of the BODs,
Please consider voting on a change of procedures that will allow a contest to be awarded TOY status automatically without a BOD vote. As long as a contest meets all the criteria for a TOY event such as contest is sanctioned by a recognized entity, no mileage conflict with anohter contest, organizer in good standing and TOY surcharge paid, why does there have to be a vote? Please vote to give the TOY Commissioner the authority to act on behalf of the BOD. If I'm missing something, please tell me.
Thanks, Benny

This is an excellent suggestion and in line with what I have in mind on a more broad basis. Officers need to be empowered by the Board to act unilaterally on such simple procedural things as approving a contest for ToY. It helps to make us more efficient to delegate. Expect to see this happen and more.
