West Coast BBQ Classic

I dont see any other contest of KCBS on that date? May tie it into Dana Point for a points run?

I don't know the status of sanctioning for Morgan Hill by KCBS or any other sanctioning bodies, but it is on the CBBQA calendar.

Since it was the largest event ever on the west coast last year with 65 teams it is pretty safe to assume it will be well attended.

I would surmise directing this to Ben or Ric, its their show and could aleveiate any anxiety over situation.

Absolutely. Either one of them would be the ones to ask. Just pointing out that the KCBS calendar isn't the best way to see if an event is booked in California.

This sounds great!..I know you would have had 60 teams at Dana Point..I can see this one with just as many maybe more..it's also outside of 300 miles from Morgan Hill so it should qualify for toy as well..Dana Point was outstanding and I'm sure this one won't disappoint either..Thanks for bringing another quality event to California!

I agree with Andy too. There's more and more teams each year. It's a good thing.

I also agree, and fought for earlier this year. Just think it is worth pointing out that there is another contest planned that weekend so the promoter is fully aware. There were only 4 or 5 teams at Morgan Hill last year that came from down south, so it is possible to have 2 50 team contests in one weekend.

Dana Point was one of our favorite contests last year so I would definitely consider attending another Arlie event if there wasn't a conflict.

Having choices for teams is a good thing. Obviously, a 30 minute drive to a contest that will likely pay more will be hard to pass up.
