I took note that my membership is due for my first of many renewal's coming up in May. At $36, I will not hesitate to renew. As I was looking at the benefits of membership I noted that members receive discounted entry into some contests. I haven't seen a discount nor do I expect one. However, I see this as a small way to increase association revenue. Make everyone who enters a CBBQA sanctioned event become a member. Just an idea.

Just got a 10% discount on my stoker setup so there IS a nice discount already that essentially pays for the membership!

Just noticed my profile says that my membership expired in September 2011. I'm pretty sure that isn't the case. Is this happening to anyone else?

The date on your profile is manually updated, by one of us, every few months.

I guess we can't outsource this onerous task to China!

I don't think this is acceptable. From September? thats over 4 months. Who is the "us" ? I will volunteer for this job and make sure it gets done on a monthly or sooner schedule.

I agree. (Insert another Big Poppa replay here again.) Could not updating result in erroneous totaling of TOY points?

This is not where the "master membership roster" comes from, so no.

I paid my renewal two weeks ago and my profile was updated almost immediately. I used PayPal so that may have had something to do with it.

that's one of the reasons we needed to do the forum upgrade, now we can proceed with putting automation in place to solve these issues once and for all

Not wanting to sound dumb, but this is my first year in the CABBQ, and my question is.....how do I know when my dues are due? I know this is not exactly on this question, but it does have to do with renewal.
thanks

I heard before that you should receive an e-mail when your renewal date approaches.

You can see your due date if you click on your name up on the top right of the forum page, and click on "manage paid subscriptions", there you can see the date that your membership will end, and next to that is a link for membership renewal.

Glad I read this topic. Following Jerry's instructions above, I checked my membership expiration. It ended in February. I did not receive an email informing of this. I just renewed.
