Sherry and I should be there in some capacity, if we are welcome. We won't be defending our GC title because I would rather give the spot to a new team who is looking for the practice. I may be able to do some mentoring and help where needed. We had so much fun last year, I can't even begin to describe it! Don't miss your chance for this one folks!

John, and any other judge I may have offended, without a doubt that has to be one of the most poorly worded posts I have written in a long time. Sometimes I just can’t frame the words to my thinking and it comes out well…just wrong. I wasn’t trying to single anyone out, or be discourteous to the judges who signed up. More so, I was trying to establish the bar for other judges who were not familiar with the Backyard. I obviously did not do that well. I am sorry if I offend you and others with my poor choice of words. I would be very pleased to have you judge. The backyard is also a tune up for judges in that it gives them a chance to see how there judging compares to other judges and an open format to discuss the differences. I hope you will join us.

Ric - No offense taken here. The backyard is a great way for teams to receive feedback from experienced judges. Some of the judges' comments may very well help a team to take the walk.

Rather than judge, I'd like to help out on Saturday, listen to the judging, and hopefully sample some of the Q for the volunteers. If you could use some help on Saturday, please let me know.

Come this time next year, I should have judged several competitions and will be pestering you to consider me for a judge position at the backyard.

Hey Ric, I competed last year so I don't want to take up a spot but if you could put me on the reserve list I won't mind filling in in case someone drops out last minute.
