I am doing pulled pork sliders this weekend for 25. What have you used for good buns? King's Hawaiian rolls will work, but I really want something more authentic. Any tricks to find or make good slider buns?
I found this recipe as a last resort

I really enjoy pan de sal as a slider bun. It is a Filipino roll based on a Portugese recipe. I am fortunate that I happen to have an Asian grocery near me that caters to the Filipino population or I never would have stumbled upon them. I'm told it is commonly available in most Asian markets. It is cheap and delicious with pork.

i prefer pulled pork w/ hawaiian rolls and a dill pickle slice. but you can always use the brown n serve rolls,
The pickle comment reminded me that sometimes I go with pickled jalapeņo and melted cheddar. Kind of a pulled pork nacho sandwich. A bit more labor, but tasty.
