It looks to me like this one could have huge PC..location couldn't be better and with a food truck festival tied into this people are going to come and want to eat..I have a friend that was at the LA food truck fest and said it was great..and I'm sure all of the teams would enjoy the unique offerings the trucks would bring..sounds like a winner to me!

I spoke with David Pulido today - he is calling judges to confirm their attendance. No info on the number of teams.
His contact info is
dpulido.hba@gmail.com
909.851.2725

I suspect he would welcome any assistance provided by our great organizers here!

Someone passed out fliers for this event in the Judges Tent at Santa Anita. Seems like it's similar to Kristies where it's a HUGE venue, but you pay to enter. However parking is free so that's not too bad.

Here is some info I found online.

About the IE Dixie Salsa BBQ Competition – Brought to you by the Hispanic Business Alliance, sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society the first annual IE Dixie Salsa BBQ Competition will take place at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Over 30 teams will compete for cash prizes and trophies.
A Certified Barbeque Judging Class will be offered prior to the competition on May 4th.
Over 70 local business vendors will be on site. A Live Music Youth Competition will support local groups with cash prizes and community support.
In addition a car show, children’s activity zone, entertainment and more will provide a fun filled family event.
Tickets are $10 General Admission, $8 in Advance, Children 6 and under are FREE. Parking is FREE.

Even if you do get 15 teams who's going to be judging the event? I think I must have sent at least 5 e-mails regarding judging, but never got any replies?
