Don't get to bummed, Andy. The chicken is just what we have confirmmed. You never know if Santa might drop off some Tri-Tip for us.

Yes, that is a lot of chicken. They just told me this, and they are try to get me to commit if we can get it done or not. Told them I am still beggin' for some cookers, but we we try.

Santa better come across with some Tri-Tip...LOL!

We will get this cooked, one way or another! We are not letting the Vets down, no way!

We'll come up with enough pits! I'll post on Face Book again...

Hey gang,
Still looking for assistance to help feed our Vets. We are still short of smokers, if your available please come out and help.
Location is the Veterans Hospital right off the 405 at Wilshire. Check out the link to their web site on my first post for information.

Thanks,
Bill

Neil,

Let's see where we end up with pits, I may be able to swing by and pick up your R.K on the way to the event.

Thanks Andy. That will really help.
If you have table, ez-up, cutting boards, etc, that might help as well. If not, don't worry about it, we should have enough.

Thanks Neil. I am trying to get one more pit, if it works out we should be OK now. Too bad you can not make it though, haven't been able to hang out in a long time. It's a lot of work but be have a great time.

OK, here is what I have. Tell me if I am missing anyone.

Smokers fuel

Ranch Kettle Benny charcoal
2 Stumps smokers Andrew charcoal
FEC 100 + 2 small Larry pellets
Cabinet smoker Bill H charcoal
Larger Offset w/grill Andy Allen wood/charcoal
(2) 22 wsm Tom M charcoal
Drum Dan propane
Med. Offset Del wood/charcoal
Med. Offset Me wood/charcoal

Andrew got his wish. I was told we have at least 30 tri-tip to cook along with the chicken.
Still can use some smokers, anyone else available?
If you want to get there Saturday night, you can. Was told they will have a secured area for us.
If arriving Sunday, the earlier the better.
We are getting some charcoal and wood donated, but if you have some it wouldn't hurt to bring it just in case.
Will continue to supply info as I get it. Any questions, holler.

Maybe we can get some more people if I mention that Wifey is going to bring some of her infamous home made cookies again.

These cookies are worth it, trust me...

Bill, I think I have a couple of volunteers coming out. I'm still waiting on solid confirmation from Matt Fish and Ronnie Gilman that they are both coming out, both have medium size offsets.
