As is often the case for me this time of year, I printed the wrong date on the Judges application. The correct date is August 6th, 2011. If you have already sent your app in no biggie, we will accept and change the date on our end. Attached is the revised application for future use.

You know there is a thread about judges taking home food after a contest. Well, I have lots of judges but no food, so far it's a moot point. Come on guys lets get signed up for the 3rd Annual Smokin' Q Classic in Vista CA. Apps are posted on the wiki and also on the web. Smokin Q Classic Look under Events.

Hi Dale...it was great to meet you this weekend and we were sort of your neighbors. I have printed up the app and we plan to be there. Can you clarify the power situation for me? The app sort of implies there is no power (not in the list of 'entry fee includes' and mention of bringing a generator), but the wiki page says some is available. I don't have huge power requirements, but would like at least one extension cord run if I can. Will that be possible, or do I need to start asking around to plug into someone else's generator? I have a generator, but it is not a whisper quiet model and I don't have the budget to get one right now for one contest. Thanks for your help.

Glad to have met you finally, look forward to seeing you in Vista.
All sites will have a minimum of 15 amps. Because we all share the "City" power if we don't all cooperate with each other the potential for power failure exists. Therefore the application states that if you would like a secure power source it is recommeded to bring your own source. Honestly we have had relatively few power issues but just the same I want everyone to be prepared.
