Hi Kim,
The contest organizer, Dale Ginos, has indicated his intention to make this a ToY event but it has not yet been submitted to the BoD for approval. I'm sure he'll be addressing that requirement in the near future but I would count on it being approved.
Half the fun of this event is watching Dale traverse the entire contest area on his bicycle, having strategically placed teams throughout the space that keep lots of cold Diet Pepsi on hand so he can quence his thirst wherever he happens to be! I think we threw a curve at him by having the caffiene free variety at our site.

Woo! Hoo! KCBS sanctioned the 3rd Annual Smokin Q Classic!
Minor glich on the sanctioning, KCBS inadvertently posted the wrong dates. This issue has been addressed and rectified. The correct dates are indeed Friday August 5th - Saturday August 6th 2011. I apologize for any confusion this may have raised and I am not in the business of pointing fingers but... it wasn't me. LOL
Vince let the cat out of the bag. So, now you all know how your team gets placed! JK
Team apps this weekend, I promise. This is my responsibility.

I think I am having an out of body experience, the Judges Applications are ready for posting.
So much for the "out of body" experience, the PDF is too big so I could only post a doc. Perhaps someone more savvy than I can convert to a PDF and post to the wiki.
Thanks
