4th Annual Kristie's Quen for Kids-Orange County BBQ Festival

The event date is set, Saturday June 11 at the OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa
Though the basics will pretty much be the same,we have worked to iron out some of the "issues" from last year,to make things run a bit more smoothly. Hopefully each year, we get better and more efficient at this!
Teams are being moved within the venue to give you all more space as well as larger walkways for the crowds. The entry forms will require some detailed information from you so that we can accomodate everyone's space needs as best we can.
A big addition to this years event is Beer Tasting.
We are excited about some new sponsors this year as well but I am hesitant to post names until we wrap up contracts and can be sure the deals are sealed.
All ticketing and registrations are going online this year. We are working toward a Feb 15th launch of the new website. Teams will be emailed a link to the page to register online. I will also post the link on here. Teams can pay with credit card this year, Yeah! or you can fill out the online ap and send a check in, if you prefer.
I know as of right now, the prize money will be 7K, but we hope come spring to be increasing it. We can promise that trophies will be bigger this year!

Some of my crew are graduating that weekend and unless they want their party on Sunday; I will not make it again.
If you need anything KS, you know how to reach me. I am going to hate missing this again, but my kids work hard for me, so they deserve their graduation party!

Looking forward to the event, and now that i'm a CBJ I hope to be judging this one. I really enjoyed last year, but the lines for the PC was about a 30-40 min wait later in the day around 1:00pm. Hopefully there will be more teams not only competing, but serving as well. Since it's the fairgrounds I don't think anyone expected that many people to show up and buy tickets.
