Thanks to everyone. It was a great event even though it rained pretty good for a lot of the weekend. The organizer and the folks from the PNWBA were fantastic. They had a couple of staff going around with a coffee cart and freshly made deserts all morning. The anything but" dishes were out of this world. Hope he shares the photos of them. We were supplied with 5 lbs. of ground turkey and a large fillet of Halibut. Harry made his famous turtle with the turkey and a combination plate with the Halibut. It had spring rolls, curry and skewered halibut. It was soo good. Hope to see everyone soon.

The rules are virtually identical to KCBS. Some differences include the turn-in schedule which has butts, brisket, chicken and ribs. They are also 1 hour apart. One thing that is far better than the other sanctioning bodies is the scoring result sheets. There are only two sheets, one with you individual scores (including the number assigned to each judge) and the other sheet with all the catagories and teams listed with their scores and where they stood in each catagory.

Our 8th GC and first international one (for a Calif team?) was featured on Canadian TV.

Click on the 9/29/10 episode and FF to 4:00 to start . Watch carefully and make sure you FF and RW back and forth many times so you can shig at least 10 (yes, I counted) of our secret techniques including secret tools and utensils, turn-in box presentation, etc. We passionately show it all and our deep love for BBQ, and the wonderful BBQ community we're proud to be part of. Clock is ticking as you've got five days before this episode is taken down.
