Slap Yo Daddy BBQ is headed to Vancouver, Canada, to represent California at the BBQ on The Bypass on Sunday September 19th

We've never cooked a PNWBA sanctioned event before so am expecting the unexpected. We don't even know whether the WSMs we borrowed will be there! But that's part of the fun and adventure. And it's expected to rain and be in the 50's.

We're doing a cooking show for 30 at the Well Seasoned Gourmet store on Friday and a Canadian TV crew will be there to do a special so maybe we'll make it on the air. Apparently, they've heard about my Seared Ahi, Santa Maria tri tip, and Paella up north want and to see it up close!

I want to sincerely thank Angie Quaale and her staff from the Well Seasoned Gourmet store for sponsoring us with airline, hotel, entry fees, equipment, and making our first international trip happen. I've met many outstanding and passionate BBQ friends in our journeys across the nation and am amazed at the opportunities that have come our way. Thanks also to Danielle Dimovski of DivaQ for entering our lives and connecting us with Angie in Arkansas earlier this year. We will try our best to do California proud.

Benny just informed me we're cooking fish? How about a Saiko Miso Marinated Halibut?

Turn in times:

· Turkey 10:30 am

· Butt 11 am

· Brisket 12 noon

· Chicken 1 pm

· Ribs 2 pm

· Halibut 3 pm

· Awards 5pm

harry just make sure the organizer knows which meats count for the g/c before the contest ! go get'em harry

silly, everyone knows only turkey and halibut count towards GC.

Wonder if they will like my Bacon Turtle made with hand chopped turkey sausage?

Those are some unusual meats and turn in times for sure! Guess you won't be sticking to your normal routine for this contest! Any chance you could take some pics of your creations and share them just for curiosity sake?
