I believe Check In starts at 6am Saturday and inspections occur then. Hopefully Scott can confirm or clarify as necessary.

Way to go Redding, Ca it likes like we will be close to 50 teams ( WOW ) a lot of this goes to Dave Duarte / Apple jacks BBQ and T-Shirts for putting in a lot of leg work in putting together the Shasta County Smokers Association ( Not sure if that is the right name, but close?)and then putting together events like the Pros & joes Comp, way to put BBQ on the map in Shasta county Dave.

That looks about right as far as I remember, but scores weren't given out to teams so I am going to try and get a copy for myself.

First, I am sorry to hear about Scott's accident, but am glad to hear he is on the road to recovery.

The contest was well run considering the circumstances and I thank Dave and his wife for stepping up and really taking on a lot of extra duties. Thanks to anyone else who was asked to pitch in at the last minute.

It was great to finally be a part of a contest as my own team. I got to see some folks I have already met and got to meet a lot of new friends as well. Most importantly I learned a lot from the experience.

Congrats to Smokin Bills BBQ, Ric's Righteous Ribs, Hound Dog BBQ, and Big EEGin for taking the big walk for the cash! Also congrats to Big Os Alan and Mary for their kick ass flying atomic buffalo turds that crushed the competition! And congrats too for the winner of the sauce contest, but I forget who that was (sorry!).

Now, all that said, I am really pleased with my own top 10 finish. I've cooked better, but not under the pressure of a contest and I am very very happy with finishing 9 amongst this large group of competitors. Everyone was hungry for a win, so this was a tough group to compete against.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this a successful weekend!

Thanks to everyone that traveled to Northern Cal*** It was great to see some familiar faces/teams. Congrats to the winners. How was my shameless plug for the CBBQA at the cooks meeting? I hope that some of the teams were able to check out the Sundial Bridge speaking of bridge kudos to Scott for those cool partipants awards, very unique. If you heard the event organizer right he promised next years event to be a ****$10,000**** prize fund with everyone who entered this year to have first opportunity to sign up. WOW I sure had a great time thanks again everybody.

Thanks to all the people that worked so hard to put this together. We were one of the lucky ones to be invited to be a vendor at the show for the weekend. If you could say cooking for 3 days all day lucky. But hey thats what we do right, live for the BBQ. I know that we are looking forward to next year and placing a bit closer to the $$$$ but in with what some were calling the PRO class (the vendors from Reno Rib cook off) We yes we High Sierra BBQ took 1st placing 12th overall. We are proud to say that we compeated with the big boys of Reno and were able to get 1st this time.
Cant wait for next year!

The score guy is supposed to send me a copy to distribute but haven't seen anything yet. Anybody know how to get a copy of the program for score keeping?
I've already tried the KCBS website with no luck.

KCBS send their own reps to score for you.

Or are you simply looking to use their system without paying for it?

KCBS has the best scoring system of any IMO, not sure they would just loan it to you.

Why don't you promote a KCBS contest David?
