If anyone wants to compete let me know. I would be willing to be someone else's cooking mate. I have all of the equipment needed--just don't feel like spending a weekend at a fairgrounds all by myself. Nancy has to work that same weekend

I cooked at this last year and have our club signed up with two teams the bbq part is on sunday
this is a bbq event that has huge potential if someone was to take over the bbq part. Example last years 1st and 2nd place winners were
bacon wrapped chicken breast with stuffed onions and cheese etc... second was a salmon on a cedar plank both were very pretty in appearence
flowers, wine, garnish. I got like last place with a pulled pork sand with slaw. I got a new angle on this event. let me know if anyone makes the
drive up I could help the saturday dutch ove, pretty tough competition there.

NO Chips----I will not be wearing the kilt.
who the heck is this biker dude, stinky steve who has to get an OK from you before He'll try my BBQ??!!!???!? Some darn Texican, I'm up my ears in Texicans this weekend!! In a past life, I musta pissed on the village witch, and it's now coming back to haunt me. That would explain having to put up with Mr. Chips Saturday night! But, I did get a "pretty good" from the Texican Biker regarding the butt I smoked, I can live with that.
Helluva weekend!!!

Don---Steve "Stinky" Mc Main caters BBQ with an upright "Bushrod" smoker just like mine. He specializes in "Biker Events" Steve's BBQ expertise comes from working at his Uncle's BBQ Joint in Texas. I have cooked alongside of Steve many times and he is a great Q'er. If he liked your pork --you are "in" Do not attempt to drink with this man-it will effect your posting ability---never mind I see that you already tried that.
Are you going to Redding Sat or Sun? I guess Applejacks is cooking and Matt Damon from Chico. I may be there to spectate.

I had fun with Steve, it cracked me up when he got out his phone to check me out. He seemed like a good guy. I don't think I'll be going anywhere this weekend, too much to do. This whole month is spoken for.
Take care Leonard, Don
