Hi all
The applications are available at www.clovisbbq.com. Dates Sept 18,19 KCBS September 20th TBA. The date on the logo is wrong so don't use that one, I am trying to get it fixed. Also on Sunday we are trying to put together another event that will be pretty cool. Updates soon. Comfort Suites has blocked 10 rooms for Friday and Saturday for 109.00. If you want one of these rooms let them know they are under "QN4U". You will probally not find a room for less. If you have any questions you can reach me at 559-593-2891.
Also can someone link the web site to the calander on the front page.
Thanks
Kim

It looks like Two Loose Screws will be making its annual trip to Cali for the event ..... We blocked it out months ago and angered more than one client by being "booked" that weekend...
Holy chit Ray, I thought you and Minion crawled under a rock or somethin, How the hell are ya?

Howdy Jay!!! .. All is well
Yes we are still kick'n around up here, after last years pork scores at Clovis we actualy did stick our heads in the sand for a while .... between that and the fiscal downturn over the last year we decided to play it safe this year and cool our jets competing. We are optomistic that TLS is going to make a natinonwide run at some of the larger KCBS events next year (now that the pork butt has been "fixed") and if things come together possibly attempt a run to compete for KCBS TOY.
As you know traveling from the northwest is spendy no matter where you go. Our only other choice is to promote events up here again but then we are back into the "we can't cook what we promote" dilema. We are going to put a comp together up here in the future but still lots of ground to cover before we can call it "in the works".
All in all we are looking to quench the competition blues for 2009 with the clovis event, hope you can make it.

Yes. Sept 18,19 KCBS Sept 20 Steak Cookoff.
Also on Sunday we are doing the Great Western Steak Cook Off. Also presented by SaveMart Mastercut. Entry Fee is $40.00. Each team will be given 4 12 oz Ribeye Steaks. Two will need to be turned in and we ask the other two be donated to the charity dinner. The prize money so far is $500.00 and hopefully more to come from another sponsor.
If you have already sent in your application and want to do this please call me at 559-593-2891
I will have Pam add Sunday to the application
Thanks

The driving directions suggest that the intersection of Woodworth and 4th Street is the location of this event. As I recall from last year, this is incorrect. The correct intersection was 5th and Clovis, behind the Shell gas station. Could someone more familiar with the area please confirm the correct intersection.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You would be correct, Scott. Woodworth & 4th location hasn't been used for several years now.
