Hesperia June 28
West Coast August 16
Taylor August 30
Clovis September 20 or 27
depending on who has it correct
The Desert Nov 1
July sure looks ripe
Either the 5th or the 19th
Would a travel day off on the 4th help
or hinder?
The 19th would flow with the other dates well

Another vote for the 19th. But not sure if I would do this, being that it is 300 mile RT for no prize money.
Now if I can talk the wife into making it a mini vacation...........

The 19th would work best for me. I cook for the neighborhood every 4th of July.
Dave - You want to lose $2 in one year?

I don't know if July 19 works for me. Mom and I leave for Europe on the 23rd and I don't know if I want to spend that weekend hauling and cooking and cleaning and packing for BBQ plus coming home and going through the same drill to get everything ready to go a few days later. Don't know if Bent will want to go and compete by himself or not, I will let him answer that one.

The way the ROY competition is going this year, I've got to try and make everything I can just to hang on to a position at the front of the pack...........
I'll try and do everything I can in addition to the big ones. That makes smaller, cheaper events very desirable for me.

C'mon Bill! 650 miles RT for me.

Wow! That is dedication, or addiction, or both.
Or are you using it as an excuse to escape the heat and head to the Beach?
We are planning on doing Fairfield, which is a long haul for us as well. But at least a chance at some prize money to recoup expenses.
My Motorhome only gets around 8mpg towing my smoker, so the cost does add up.
We will probably do this Encinitas one. I will have to look to see if there is any camping spots near by still available so to make a vacation trip out of it, kill two birds with one stone.
Look forward to seeing you.

Yes to them all. Because of friends and family are in the area is why I will attend this one (if it happens). Shake, Rattle & Roll is gone and Viejas might not happen. I might as well jump into some contest since I only have Fairfield and Clovis left on my schedule.
