Do we anticipate that any of these events will have an opportunity for the CBBQA to run a vending booth? I know some will be geared to letting the tema sell and I am all for that. Will there be others -- maybe Moorpark or Wishland or ? --- where we as a group could raise some money for charities like Ric is doing at Gilroy or like we do at Viejas?

One option could be to cut CBBQA in on the Peoples Choice Money
A possible example 45% Teams, 10% CBBQA, 45% Event Host
Numbers could vary greatly depending on the situation
There was very little interest in working a central booth this year
with a few notable exceptions.

Thom, wouldn't it make more sense to have the 2008 Competition Calendar as a Wiki page? That would make updates a lot easier to do handle and it would also be easier for everyone to read instead of having to scroll through the thread each time.

Ask and ye shall receive. I made a wiki page for the 2008 Competition calendar based on the info from this post. I think Ric has a date for the Rock 'n Ribs, so I will have to find and update.

One big conflict I see is that Viejas 2008 is scheduled for the same weekend as The Jack 2008, the weekend of October 24-26. Is it possible that we have the wrong date from Viejas? I e-mailed the folks at The Jack and they confirmed that that weekend is their event.

I have sent Nancy Kennedy at Viejas a request for clarification. I will post her response.

Thanks Kelly. I hope that the two events don't conflict as that will certainly mean that some of the teams who would be there will go to The Jack instead.

Nancy Kennedy confirmed that Viejas is October 17th & 18th 2008. I have made the correction on the calendar page.
