The Technologically minded have ever been ready to obey one who wields great power. Those who learned the powers of the dark side were quick to exploit this techonology—to make War on Evil Stick Burners. Again and again the dark side has surged forth, like a storm…devouring whole backyards and entire BBQ Competitions. Those who mastered The Dark power became The Dark power. They unleashed destruction, for no other reason to anger the Evil Stick Burners. They despoiled Eggheads…destroyed whole groups of WSM civilizations, and crushed the Elitist charcoal burners. Some of them, I am ashamed to say, have returned to the Evil Stick burner."

Something new on the wiki, every CBBQA member team now has thier own wiki page, you get to put whatever you want on your page.

This list on this page may not be all inclusive, if your name should be on here an it isn't, please post here and we'll get it added.

Hi Ben,
We are a new member, signed up in January, 08, and do not see our team name "Hog Me Tender" listed. If new members are not allowed on until they have proven themselves worthy . . . not a problem! ! ! We will see you in Modesto and hopefully get that resolved.

We get you set today, what's your hometown?

Do you have a picture or a logo? Would you like us to make one for you?

Any questions about creating your own Team page are welcomed, simply drop me a "PM" here on the board.

Ramone,

Just click on Smitty's name and a pull-down menu will appear. Click on "Send Message". That's a "PM" (Personal Message).

Glad to see some more newbies coming out. Modesto is quite the first comp to attempt. That was our first comp last year too. It is probably going to be the biggest comp in California with atleast 48 teams! Good luck, and we'll see you there.

Chris,

I can fix you up here tonight.

You can have a team page and a banner on the business member page that links back to a business website.

I need from you-

1- a hometown for you

2-company website if you have one.

3-banner for business website (I can work one up if you need one built. Banner need to be 728x90 pixels and in a PNG format.

Email me you logo in a "clean" format (PNG) for your team page.

Hey folks,

I'm think I'm missing something and could use some help.

I've asked a couple times, in a couple ways how to go about getting added to the member team site...I see other teams added quite quickly but no one has ever responded to me with any help, or advice. What is the process for getting added?

I thought I had joined CBBQA last year...sent my $. My check was cashed...I appear on the member page but i have never received any sort of membership packet/credentials/etc.. Bupkis from CBBQA, although i do get the national BBQ newspaper. I've asked a couple times, if there's more to it, but still nothing.

We participated in Modesto...came in ninth in brisket...nothing to brag about...but I see a lot of teams that finished below me on the ToY page but we're not listed there.

So, we're feeling a little invisible and i'm starting to take it personally. Maybe I've pissed someone off...if so...let me know and we call talk about it and try to clear it up, and if we can’t I can go away. Or, maybe I’m just not following some procedures, don't know the code word or secret handshake...not sure. I'd appreciate it if someone can let me know how to go about these things.

Thanks.

David Schmidt

David,
Sorry - I missed your post on May 5th. Not complaining about posts - but with all the hijacks and personal conversations on the forum, I don't always read every post. If you want some action on ToY, should PM me directly. That instruction is at the top of the ToY team list.
I'll add you today.

As far as the member team list, that's maintained separately from ToY. However, I'll gladly add you there also. Page content is up to you (or with some help from Smitty).

I'll also go back and add your Modesto result at next standings update.
