LOL, I read that post wrong... All 8 are coming. I guess the question I should have asked is what teams are not coming that are still in the running?

Let's see...
  • QN4U
  • All Hogs Go To Heaven
  • Otis And The Bird
  • 155 South Bar-B-Q
  • BLQUE Cuttin' Edge QN
  • Tropical Heat
  • Smitty's Smoke Patrol
  • The Smokepranos
I think that's it.

I think we all get credit for each contest also.

Bram,

Are the contests getting double points because they are over 5o? For example, if you win the KCBS contest, do you get 108 points? And if you win both the KCBS and IBC contest, do you get 216 point?

But if you place in the top ten in both divisions you could get ToY points for both, right?

This competition can change the entire world as we know it! Well, maybe not, but it could change the ToY standings considerably. It's getting close here folks, almost time to put it in panic mode! :frantics:

We don't get any points this weekend but that's OK because we also don't have to go out of town this weekend either. The world is full of trade offs.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend and hope you all have safe travel on your way here.

Well duh! The top half of course, and make sure you put them in the box skin side down, that is if you cook with the skin on. That way the judges can get right to the best part first, the rib meat!

It is obvious you guys have not cooked IBCA before so I will give you a few tips. You cook the whole chicken, strip all the meat off it, pour a mixture of KC Masterpiece and honey all over it the meat , weight it, and take half of the total weight and put in a container. There, never say that I am not right there to help my fellow CBBQA members!

Good luck to all. We will await news of the results with baited breath! :jump:

Thanks Kristen, I think we'll try it you're way, but we will have to put our own spin on it. I think we'll use Cattlemans honey sauce instead, adding the honey seperatly is alot of work!

CBBQA Member Teams,
The ToY Contest Season is concluded. Congratulations to our winners and everyone that made the leaderboard.

Drumroll........Final Standings for 2007

I have checked the leaderboard several times but the tabulation process is manual. If you see any mistakes, I appreciate you letting me know as soon as possible. Thanks.

Congrats to all! The list is looking good Bram, the only thing I see is that it appears that out of state ToY points were giving to a few teams that haven't competed in four CA ToY events.

Congrats again. :clapping:

Congrats to QN4U! Almost a clean sweep...glad the top 10 means things to the other teams, cuz thats about all that left for everyone else!

Reminds me of Karen West in HS, Home Coming Queen, Winter Formal Queen and Prom Queen, I think she sold popcorn at the fotball games at halftime too!

Were are going to strive to break the top 30 next year! :cheer:

Congrats to QN4U -- what an impressive accomplishment :clapping: Also, congrats to Nick and Larry on the Brisket ToY. Good job guys!

I see after the recalibration, we moved from 31st to 28th so our goal for 2008 has already been met so we have had to decide on a new one. Our new goal is to beat any team with a Q in the name -- so watch out 4Q, Notley Que, QN4U, BLQUE, we are after you. :poke: All Hogs, 155 South, Otis and the Bird and Smitty can relax.
