Another fun contest to add to the list of BBQ events from organizer Scott Gomes and his new CNSBC or California North State BBQ Competitions.

He'll be updating the wiki and forum as more information is confirmed.

Would like to welcome Tom Sharp and the The Big Pig Chili & BBQ team to the Feather Falls Casino Chili & Salsa Cook-Off, this is going to be a FUN event featuring over 350 custom hot rods, live music, and of course the Feather Falls Brewery sets up right along side us, and to top it off $600 in prize money and each teams receives a nice swag bag full of goodies, this event will be limited to 15 teams so get your applications in fast. *Note this is a Friday event, i feel some sick days coming on !!!!

The 2013 California State Chili Champion, Gina D'Arcangelo will be doing a cooking demonstration on the art of making Texas Red Chili at the Feather Falls Casino Chili and Salsa Contest on Friday May 9th. This one hour class starts at 2:30 PM and will explain the art of making competition Chili as well as:

How Competition Chili is judged

Demonstrate using powders and dumps vs using fresh ingredients.

Explain the different types of chili powders.

Creating even heat using certain types of chili powders.

and their will be plenty of samples to try as well, so come on out may 9th and attend this free class and up your Chili game !!!
