I'm a new member to the CBBQA and have found a lot of very useful info here Keep up the good work! and hopefully I'll be in the competition seen one day.
So let me introduce myself. I'm John Hilgeman and I live in West Garden Grove Ca.
I signed up for the BBQ U class in Anaheim and look forward to attending. But how does it work? Will I receive something in the mail like an invitation or ... just show up the day of the class?
Thanks

Hi, My name is Dave and I just stumbled upon your website last night while searching for info on doing my own bbq spices and rubs... And now I am hooked!
My cousin and I have been really thinking about starting to do competitions and festivals and such, and we just read about the 101 class in nov. and have already made the plans to be there!
We are super excited and it sounds like a blast... But since it is our first one and we don't have a clue as to what is gonna go on or what to do, Can you guys fill us in on the schedule and all that and what we need to bring or not bring?
Also, what is expected from the students at this class?
I know there is mention of a potluck for friday, how does this work?
Sorry to be a pain, just startin out and am eager to learn...
