Okay, trailer is loaded... Rub is made. Now for the other 5 million things I need to do by friday morning!
Looking for a BBQ cook in the Bay Area. Opening a small takeout restaurant. Please contact me
We are getting geared up for Vista! Doing a final pork practice on Saturday, from there on out we have what we have. At this point we are almost at a point where all we can do is load the trailer and wait.
Time for my periodic up date to myself! HAHA. All things considered, I'm in good spirits. I am trying to make plans for Vista in August and Santee in October. First two events and I am nervous. I wish I could get confirmation on my entries so I could at least mark that off of the list. Nothing I can do in the mean time but practice and make sure everything else is in order.
New modifications to the grill worked AWESOME!! That thing will now cruise like a caddy. All in all it was a good cook yesterday. Got some stuff to work on but it definatly was progress in the right direction.
The modifications to the grill are complete....untested, but complete! I will attach pictures soon. I also took this oppertunity to replace the adjustable charcoal grate in the smoke chamber. It was MESSED UP!!!
It's Official! The Antelope Valley Fair will be having the PRCA Rodeo Finals again this year and our first BBQ Competition!!!
I've been reading online about modifications people have done to the Chargriller Pro and 50/50. I am going to incorporate several of the mods into my Chargriller outlaw. I am adding an internal stack extension down to the grill surface. I am also going to add baffles across the interior of the grill to extend the heat into the center of the chamber. Finally I am adding a grate in the fire box so I can ash without disturbing the fire. I'll post again when I see how it goes!
